June 2018 - As exam fever begins to abate and ball tickets go on sale, it can only mean one thing - Freshers is just around the corner! No, we can't believe it either but we're looking forward to a summer of helping you get ready for arguably the most exciting time of year for your teams and your brand new student members.

No, we can't believe it either but we're looking forward to a summer of helping you get ready for arguably the most exciting time of year for your teams and your brand new student members. Summer is when many of MSL's clients go for a new look, update their website, train new staff and MSL is here to help with all of those things - but don't leave it to the last minute, we're ready and waiting now to talk to you about your Freshers' requirements. You'll probably notice some changes to the MSL team too this summer - take a look at our announcement below then book your slot to come and say hello at the NUS Trade Show on 5th July.

Bournemouth, Leicester, Suffolk, Heriot-Watt & West London students' unions join MSL in 2018 

The MSL community has grown quickly in the last couple of months as we welcome on board the students' unions at Bournemouth, Leicester, Suffolk, Heriot-Watt and West London. From large commercial operations and international campuses to smaller student-led organisations focussed on opportunities and participation, all have selected the MSL System to support their diverse participation and engagement objectives, recognising its inherent flexibility to grow and change as their organisation does.

The move from the old Memberships Admin application to the new browser-based People & Groups resource has proven to be a popular step in our modernisation programme, providing the ability to quickly view and edit members of groups, view and set permissions and manage user accounts in a familiar user interface. We're interested to hear how you have found the transition - let us know what you like (or even dislike) about People & Groups.

Get ahead of the game with your Freshers prep

We know you have a long list of things to do as you prepare for Freshers so let us help you get ahead over the summer: we can put together your Freshers registration page so you can start selling tickets and memberships through the summer; talk to us about setting up Freshers bundles of goodies, tickets and passes; and you'll want to sell those bundles on a Freshers micro-site that we can create for you. Be the first to see our new features and developments at the NUS Trade Show 

Why not drop into stand B46 and say hello to the MSL team who will be on hand to answer your questions and show you some of the very latest developments in the MSL System. We'll have the MSL App available to try out on different devices, student group resources including Student Group Finances and Activities Management tools will be demo'd and we can talk you through our product roadmap plans. A new-look MSL team - warm welcomes and a fond farewell 

Spring 2018 has been a busy time for MSL with lots of new clients and a new team structure: we have said farewell to Dan Connolly, long time member of the MSL team, web designer and latterly Product Manager, who moves to Coventry University Students' Union as Head of Communications; Lizzy Iles takes on the role of Client Success Manager having spent four years within Customer Services most recently as Team Leader; and we welcome Mihir Pathak who joins as Technical Customer Support Coordinator. Join us in wishing Dan, Lizzy and Mihir good luck in their new roles.
