More news and updates in the 2nd edition of our Summer 2015 newsletter

June 2015 - We hope you've had time to digest all the news in the first issue of our Summer 2015 newsletter as we have even more news and developments to share with you today.

We know that many of you will be at the NUS Trade Show on July 9th and our CEO, Colin Watson, extends a warm invitation to you all to join him on our stand (54) for a catch up and to hear about your key initiatives and strategies.

You've also probably noticed that we have a brand new website - we'd love to hear your comments on the new look and feel.

City University London Students' Union (CULSU) chooses MSL platform  

We're delighted that CULSU has chosen MSL to help its staff and officers provide even more engaging and relevant services to its student members.  The MSL platform will be used to encourage greater participation in activities and campaigns whilst reducing the administration load associated with running over 70 clubs and societies as well as numerous exec, course, school and club elections. Read more about how CULSU plans to use the MSL system.

The MSL Mobile App 

We're pleased to announce that a fully branded, native mobile app will soon be available to support your day-to-day engagement plans for your students. The app will make information readily available, simplify all interactions and offer an attractive and personalised experience on the latest Apple and Android devices*. We'll have more information to share with you at the NUS Trade Show on 9th July at Bolton Arena so contact us to arrange a time to meet up on stand 54. In the meantime, take a look at the preview - we welcome your feedback.

MSL Elections support North East Scotland College Students' Association  

MSL is pleased to welcome another further education establishment to MSL; NESCOL Students' Association chose MSL Elections to provide the online facility for their recent presidential elections.   NESCOL is a further and higher education college with sites across Aberdeenshire offering a range of courses to over 21,000 students.  The Students’ Association is run by college students with elected presidents and vice presidents who represent the student body on the college Board of Management. Mobile-friendly website refresh - special offer for June 2015!

The recent Google Search update means that Google will prioritise search results for websites that are mobile-friendly higher than those which aren't - and that's for searches performed on any mobile or desktop device. But Google is being quick to recognise improvements made which makes websites fully responsive, which is why we're offering 20% off our design day rate for orders received by 30th June 2015 so that the design refresh can be implemented by end of July 2015. How to....create galleries and add photos  

We know that lots of you are preparing for some big events - Spring and Summer Balls, festivals, end of exam celebrations - and that there will be lots of photos to share after those events. Uploading photos to your own gallery or to your club's or society's is an easy task and you can follow the instructions here in the support documents.

Training sessions

We will be running three day training sessions here at MSl on the following dates. Please make a note in your diary and watch out for full itineraries coming out soon.  If you wish to reserve your place now, please contact us.

April 2021 - UCLan Students’ Union has always tried to offer lots of different ways to engage with their students as a union providing services and support to members on separate campuses in Preston and Burnley in Lancashire. Whilst digital engagement has been an integral part of the overall communications strategy, it wasn’t until the Union embarked upon user experience research in 2020 that they understood exactly what their students were looking for from the union’s website.

March 2021 - The Australian National University Students’ Association first chose the MSL System to underpin its burgeoning digital engagement requirements. The digital transformation had started back in 2016 when MSL Elections was used to run online voting for the first time - a move which resulted in the highest number of votes placed and posts filled for five years. Encouraged by their members’ enthusiasm for participating online, the decision was made to implement the core MSL System.

March 2021 - In 2020, the Heriot-Watt University Dubai Student Council chose to launch their brand new digital presence with MSL, the largest provider of digital student engagement solutions in the UK, Australia and Ireland.
