March 2019 - We know a few of you are still in the midst of nominations, campaigning and voting but the frenzy of activity that comes at this time of year is gradually reducing. Just in time for all those big ticket events to roll round! We hear snippets of great stories about fantastic engagement from nominees, innovative campaigning from candidates and best ever voter turnouts; we'd love to share some of these stories.  So, please send us your highlights - we don't need much detail, just one election highlight and one top tip for success. And if you have images you're happy to share, even better.

We also want to take this opportunity to let you know that, after nearly five years with Membership Solutions Ltd, Colin Watson will be leaving the business at the end of July 2019 to pursue new interests. Read more in the article below.

StudentLink update provides more opportunities for in-app purchases 

The latest release of StudentLink has enabled product sales as well as tickets and if you accept PayPal then, great news, this is now a payment option for in-app purchases - contact us if you haven't yet enabled PayPal for your shop and would like to. This update also enhances the display on your users' tablets and larger screen devices. We are running more StudentLink web tours/Q & A sessions for those who want to find out more about the app - see MyMSL for dates and to reserve your spot

Colin Watson, Chief Executive, to depart MSL in the summer 

As Chief Executive of MSL, Colin has overseen the development of the MSL System and the growth of the business, working closely with many of you from the earliest stages of your relationship with MSL. Colin leaves MSL in a very strong position for future growth both in the UK and overseas and the team thanks him for his support and leadership. Plans to recruit a successor are well advanced and so we look forward to introducing the new CEO to you all in due course.

We are delighted with our new website from the look through to the functionality. Working with MSL has been the perfect solution as we seek to further enhance how we communicate with our members. The membership engagement system will undoubtedly have huge benefits to how we improve the services and representation that we provide for our students

3rd party marketing automation integration service soon to be released 

We are pleased to advise that the use of 3rd party emailing and marketing automation tools with the MSL System will soon be available. The integration service will support the use of MailChimp and DotMailer which we know many of you make use of to manage your promotional and campaigning messages. Please contact us for more information about implementing this service. Activities Management web briefings for May

Have you enabled your Activities Management resources yet? These tools help your student groups run well-organised events and activities for their members and include event checklists, attendee registers, transport and fixture details. We're planning a short series of web briefings in May to help get you started - register your interest in attending and we'll send you dates and topics soon.
