18th May 2015 - The MSL membership management system will help CULSU staff and officers provide engaging and relevant services to its members, encourage greater participation in activities and campaigns whilst reducing the administration load associated with running over 70 clubs and societies as well as numerous exec, course, school and club elections.
MSL will implement their core membership management platform to provide CULSU with a new website and content management system, polls and surveys functionality, point of sales and online shopping, clubs and societies management, events and ticketing and the single sign-on facility for students to access all union provided services. Integral to the core system is the in depth reporting across all union touch points which will assist CULSU with their performance monitoring and development plans.
CULSU has also chosen to utilise the Elections module as it provides a secure, robust and flexible voting system suitable for all their elections, conforms to Electoral Reform Society’s ‘ERS97’ Single Transferable Vote guidelines in addition to the NUS guidance on fair representation.
City University London Students' Union Chief Executive, Yemi Gbajobi: “The Union has found that interacting with students on a digital platforms is becoming increasingly important moving forward and so we are really excited to be working with MSL to build more than just a website, but a membership hub which is interactive, vibrant and an effective communication tool. This is a significant investment for the Union and when choosing a new partner we were particularly pleased with MSL’s attention to detail, experience in the sector and their commitment to delivering the Union’s vision.”
MSL Chief Executive, Colin Watson, commented “We are delighted to be working with City University London Students’ Union at what is a very busy time for them. The MSL solution is just one of a number of new developments the CULSU has underway, all of which will enhance the student experience. MSL is pleased to be a part of this new era for CULSU and we look forward to supporting the union as it grows.”
