27th November 2018 - Mary I Students’ Union chose to implement the MSL System over summer 2018 in its drive to provide support, advice and representation for its members. The Students’ Union now has a new website, clubs and societies resources, email messaging, student voice facilities and events and ticketing tools to encourage student participation in extra-curricular activities.
Membership Solutions Ltd (MSL) is delighted to announce that Mary I Students’ Union (MISU) is the latest client from the Irish Republic to join the MSL community. MISU worked closely with the MSL team over the summer on their new website design and build, implementing clubs and societies resources which are central to MISU’s service provision to members, and enabling a host of digital engagement tools to support MISU staff and officers’ objectives.
MISU has some 5,000 members across two campuses, all of whom are students at Mary Immaculate College, which is academically linked to the University of Limerick. All students are automatically members of the Union, which strives to create a positive college experience through the provision of extra-curricular, social and representation opportunities. MISU supports 30+ clubs and societies, a busy calendar of social and cultural events and a range of academic, welfare and counselling support services.
David Cuddihy, Clubs and Societies Coordinator at MISU, commented: “With the GDPR deadline looming back in May, we had to readdress all elements of data collection especially when it came to Clubs & Societies here at MISU. Having talked to colleagues across the country MSL came highly recommended. We haven’t looked back since. We have gone from time consuming manual data collection to our new fully integrated system and could not be happier. The team at MSL were there every step of the way and very helpful throughout. With our new system we are looking forward to improving engagement across our student body.”
Colin Watson, CEO of Membership Solutions, said: “I am delighted to welcome the MISU team and its members to the MSL community. We worked closely together over the summer and I am confident that the resulting website and membership management system will become a valuable asset for increasing participation and opening up new ways for MISU to support their members. The MSL team looks forward to an exciting year ahead for our newest Irish client!”
