Marketing Executive

What’s on offer:

Basic Salary: £23,000-£26,000 per annum, subject to skills and experience, plus benefits

Duration:     Permanent

Hours:         A minimum working week of 37.5 hours will be required each week.  Core office hours are Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm. Flexibility is required to meet the demands of the post, including an occasional requirement for weekend and evening work.

Location:     MSL takes a hybrid approach with office and homeworking however you must be able to travel to the office in Coventry, West Midlands, based in the UK. Our office is located on the University of Warwick campus, but you may be expected to work in Coventry or anywhere within a 10-mile radius as required. MSL will provide an office workspace to anyone wishing to work in an office environment more frequently.

What’s the role?

You will be a pro-active, enthusiastic marketeer who wants to help us to help our clients to make a difference. The role will be focused on developing and implementing effective marketing techniques that allow us to support existing clients and drive new business. You will be a team player but able to work autonomously.

You will work closely with the marketing manager to plan and execute marketing campaigns, analyse market trends, and gather customer insights to drive business growth. The ideal candidate should have a passion for the art of marketing, excellent communication skills, an eye for detail and a proven track record of supporting marketing success.
 

Your responsibilities

  • To undertake day-to-day tasks supporting the delivery of marketing activity
  • On-going marketing systems maintenance (e.g. CRM, Email)
  • Ensure marketing collateral and website content are up to date and identify opportunities for new content
  • Monitor campaign, website, social media analytics and identify opportunities for change/improvement
  • Assist with ad hoc sales/marketing projects and general business support tasks as required
  • Create engaging and informative content such as blogs, emails, and videos.
  • Provide effective and efficient support to the sales and marketing team to deliver successful campaigns that meet defined targets and KPIs
  • Maintain an accurate CRM system with ready-to-use data and accurate contact/organisation history and contribute to the efficient operation of the marketing automation platform
  • Contribute to an evolving and up-to-date library of marketing collateral
  • Own the website/campaign reporting schedule and ensure analytics shape the planned/future activity
  • Create content in the form of both blogs, emails, and other collateral
  • Support in the planning and implementation of events both in-person and digitally

Your essential skills/knowledge/qualifications

  • A minimum of 1 year's business experience or relevant marketing experience gained elsewhere
  • Experience in using digital tools to support marketing activity
  • Experience with website content management systems
  • A basic understanding of SEO,PPC, Social Media
  • Experience in using online email platforms
  • Experience with reporting/analytics tools
  • Enjoys problem-solving and using own initiative to find solutions and answers to questions
  • A quantifiable track record of sales success
  • Highly resilient and determined
  • Equally at ease working autonomously and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication skills – talking and listening - across all media including telephone, email, social, video and in-person
  • Excellent time management, planning and organisation skills
  • Competent user of the Microsoft Office suite especially Word, PowerPoint and Excel
  • Understanding of CRM systems
  • Excellent collaboration with colleagues and clients
  • Able and willing to travel in the UK and if required overseas
  • Able and willing to work from an office or remotely from home
  • Full driving licence and passport

Your desirable skills/knowledge/qualifications

  • Marketing theory and principles from formal education or training
  • Experience with creative tools such as Canva and Adobe Suite is advantageous
  • Knowledge of HTML, CSS and JavaScript would be advantageous
