How do I restore a previous version of a page?
I get a message that I have an old version when I try to edit a page - what's this?
I want to add CSS or javascript to my pages - how do I do it?
Restore a previous version of a page
On the editing screen of the page you want to roll back, click 'history' in the navigation menu above the WYSIWYG editor. You will see a list of all previous versions of that page. Click 'edit' next to the version you want to reinstate then save and publish as normal. No versions will be deleted, a new version will appear at the top of the history list.
I get a message saying I have an old draft - what's this?
If you have not made any changes to the page and are not working on a draft that you want to keep, get the current version by clicking 'reset' at the bottom right of the WYSIWYG editor.
If you have made changes you want to keep
When you edit a page and save without publishing, the WYSIWYG editor will automatically show the draft you are working on. If someone has published a version of the page since you created your draft, their version will be the 'current' version. You should:
copy / remember the changes that you made to the page,
ensure you are editing the most recent version of the page by clicking reset at the bottom right of the editor
reapply your changes.
If you're not sure, or want more information, click on the 'history' link in the navigation menu above the WYSIWYG editor to see who has last modified the page.
I want to add CSS and Script to my pages
By default you only have permission to use the content, widget and preview tabs on the WYSIWYG editor. If you require additional editing rights you should contact your web administrator to discuss you Student Union's policy on granting access to these tools.
